The Hughes 9502 IP satellite terminal provides reliable connectivity over the Inmarsat Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) for IP SCADA and machine-to-machine (M2M) applications. The Beam TranSAT Fixed Satellite Telephone provides a complete hands-free voice and telephone for a wide range of mobile and fixed site applications where easy access to reliable voice and data communications is required.

The terminal provides a compact fully functioned user handset and supports both hands-free and privacy modes of operation, automatically switching between either mode with the handset in or out of the cradle.

The system can also be used as a permanent non hands-free solution simply by not connecting the microphone. The loud ring indication through the speaker system makes it an ideal installation in a noisy environment.

The RST620 is equipped with an RS232 serial data port to access Iridium data services.

There are added features that enable the unit to be integrated into communications systems via the line in/out, serial data connectivity, radio mute, horn alert and a robust inbuilt 10 – 32 VDC power supply.

Hands-free

Hands-free operation allows for quality integration into a vehicle with easy access to making and receiving calls in a hands-free mode. Beam hands-free kits are full duplex and support such features as horn alert, radio mute, and data connectivity, and allow the use of a compact intelligent user handset for privacy.

Basic telephone services

Standard telephone service features are available using the Beam RST620 including such services features as call forwarding, call barring, voicemail, phone book and SMS.

Intelligent handset interface

The RST620 Fixed Satellite Telephone comes complete with an intelligent handset for voice calls as well as enabling the Iridium SMS service.

The handset is compact and includes an inbuilt ring alert as well as providing for private conversations in place of hands-free mode.

Communication system integration

The Thuraya SF2500 is a voice satellite terminal with a built-in GPS tracking system specially designed for reliable performance in harsh and unpredictable maritime environments. This affordable, easy-to-install and user-friendly terminal enables users to make satellite voice calls to any phone in the world. SF2500 supports SMS services through its easy-to-use menu on the large colour LCD screen. An Alert button is available to notify pre-configured contacts during a possible emergency. When the Alert button is activated, SF2500 immediately sends a pre-determined alert message which includes the time-stamped GPS coordinates of the position to up to three preset contacts for emergency response. The SF2500 terminal is truly a robust, versatile and cost-effective solution for small and medium-sized fishing vessels, pleasure boats, merchant boats and any other sea vessels.
